12 minutes of nothing.
Today in English we spent 12 minutes doing absolutely nothing. And it was a fantastic 12 minutes at that.
I pretty much spent the whole hour pondering about how long eternity is. I can’t even fathom it. The fact that this life on earth is socrazily shortis so awesome. All the things we go through here are just going to lead us to an amazing place with our amazing maker.
Blah, I need more of a break like that during school more often.
And this is why I love Kira.
Instead of doing this all the time:

In the next 24 hours
I will be on the beach, soaking up Gods beauty of California and forgetting about the world.
Honestly.
I have had a pretty harsh last few days, all because of something that didn’t and shouldn’t matter to me. I’ve tried to get over it, but it kept just reminding itself to me. No matter where I went, I felt unwanted and like a piece of garbage. All because of a few words.
I prayed about it all day and night. Didn’t know what to do, tried to give it to God, but it just didn’t seem to leave me. It was like a wound that wouldn’t heal. I tried getting verses from my friends who do love me and advice on how to give it to God, but I just couldn’t.
But then I thought of Romans 8:31.
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Bingo. Jackpot. Just what I needed. Because Our God is so much greater than just a few hurtful words, so much greater than the day ahead of us. He is so amazingly glorious, that we should be spending every waking moment praising Him, not wallowing in self pity. I should have spent my Tuesday night and Wednesday PRAISING Him for everything he has given me and all the things He is helping me get through.
God is bigger than High School. God is so much bigger than a few words. Don’t let people get to you, when there is a God who is mad crazy in love with you.
If we say we love God yet hate a brother or sister, we are liars. For if we do not love a fellow believer, whom we have seen, we cannot love God, whom we have not seen. And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love one another.
1 John 4:20-21
God is freaking crazy awesome.
I cannot even fathom to you how amazing God is. He is awesome and fantastic and glorious and GAH!
Turn back to thursday evening. I’m sitting at oreganos with Lauren Ludlow talking about how I loved trying out for the Variety show and that doing a gig sometime would be fun, and all of the sudden she says she knows Angelique who was basically in charge of it all. So she shot her a text asking if there were any spots open and THERE WAS ONLY ONE OPEN, just for me. And just like that my dreams had come true.
Ever since I was little I had wanted to be a singer, preforming for events and such. And now it was actually happening. Thing was, it was two days away and I had no idea what to play. So I asked my good friend Jay if he could play a song or two with me and he agreed.
We practiced for about 6 or so hours straight together. Our fingers could have started bleeding. Then today, saturday, rolls around and we practiced for two hours on a song we had just decided on TODAY.
It seriously though, falled right into place. Everything went so well. Jay and I played Someone like you and Amazing Grace to the tune of House of the Rising sun together and did SUCH A GREAT JOB for putting it together in less than 24 hours. I sang first day of my life and breathe by myself and God seriously just let me ride on the songs like I was sailing. I had so much fun. I felt so comfortable up there.
If Gods road is paved for me to keep playing music, I will be so stoked to see what happens.
